Jog Falls

This is Continuation of last blog. :)

Sunday morning me , my elder brother and father got ready to go to joga as decided on the previous day.
we caught a bus to honnavar, from there caught bus which goes to bangalore via mavinagundi It is around 5km away from joga.
we reached maavinagundi at 1030. We asked local people there about how to go to jog falls from there. To my surprise their answer was "go by bus which will
come at 12oclock." In bangalore we are so much used to BMTC buses, that even 15minutes at bus stop seems like a year." :(
So we started to walking.
weather was cool as it was raining almost for 5mins in one hour.
After around 40mins of walk we reached British bungalow from which one can go to the spot where "Kunidu kunidu baare"song of mungaaru male was shot. we didn't go that place exactly as it needs lot of guts.(by the time i started to write this blog, I heard that one girl fell from that spot).We just saw that place from distance and started walking to other side of jog falls from where one can trek down to the bottom of the falls.
as soon as we started trekking down, rain started pouring like anything. So we started to think about going back, but i forced others to start trekking down.
It took 45 mins to get down. We got delayed mainly because there were many people who were coming up as it started raining.

We had our brunch near that falls and sat for half an hour.
I was thinking that we will get delayed as my father who is already 60 years will be slow while trekking up.
But i was totally wrong.He was very strong and even faster than both of us.
I thought we will reach the top within half an hour. But there was traffic jam :( Not a new thing or bangaloreans. But this was not because of vehicles.surprisingly It was because of people. there was no space even to move. many ladies and small children were struggling to breath.
we got delayed by nearly half an hour.
Rain started pouring again. but this time rain continued for half an hour. In that heavy rain we had to get wet as there was no shelter . :( but that was the best part of the trip.:)
From there we got a bus to talaguppa (which is on the way to saagar from there ) after waiting for an hour .From there we got a direct bus to kumta which reached at 830.
I had to catch bus at 9:15PM to bangalore.End of a very good trip.
I have decided that i will visit jog falls every year in rainy season, but not on Sunday.
